The Muslim Student Association at UC Davis is proud to present the 1st Annual 5k Run/Walk for Charity.
Proceeds from this Run/Walk will go towards benefitng Syrian Refugees who have re-located to the Sacramento region as well as those who have not been able to leave Syria.
The two organizaitions we have partnered with for this project are: Opening Doors Sacramento & Islamic Relief USA
Throughout the planning proccess of this event, we have been successfully able to collaborate with a diverse range of organizations on and off campus. We belive that building coalitions and providing an opportunity for interfaith collaboration can help defeat notions of Islamophobia, Xenophobia, and racism through working with individuals who may otherwise not have the opportunity to work with Muslims.
